Use a tie for... networking

Several techniques are used to start a conversation. But you have to feel comfortable initiating it. It’s the first step.
I like to choose my ties to have something distinctive... catching the eye… like a funny model still with business blending colors. One of them is a “Tom and Jerry” theme playing golf, and when people see it they smile and then … the ice is broken!
“How are you?”, “Do you like it?” “My name is (pause) first name - last name”
Help others remember your name, what you do and where you work. Be prepared with your pitch! Then ask people about themselves and LISTEN!
It’s all about networking right now, whether for business purposes or pleasure. It’s who knows you and what you do. Talk to people everywhere you go.
Always look important! Feel important! Speak from heart! Be a great networker!
